A leadership opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance within a world class educational facility. This is a 2-year fixed term contract, supporting an established team through a period of transformation whilst the current post holder is seconded to an exciting project.
The Head of Finance will be responsible for co-ordinating all financial data including, management accounts, budget setting, ESFA returns, statutory annual reports and financial statements and ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
There are 15 members of staff in the team with the Head of Finance having direct line management responsibilities for four Finance Business Partners.
In terms of location, you'll need to be based on site 4 days per week in South Tyneside, working 1 day per week from home.
If you have previous experience of working within the education sector or knowledge of education Finance it would be useful, but if you don't have this it would be a great opportunity to be able to transfer your skills into this sector.
