Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with a leading Professional Service client in recruiting an Interim Head of Finance. Reporting into and working closely with the MD and Group Leadership Team you will be manage the day-to-day accounting function, overseeing a small team and also leading the technical accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Manage the financial accounting process, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and department heads to support decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Lead the finance team, providing guidance, training, and support to promote professional development.

Experience:

• Experience with Educational or Local Government contracts is essential
• Member of of the following (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW), or able to evidence QB
• Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with financial services industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
