Reed Talent Solutions are working with a medium sized organisation within the aviation sector in the recruitment for an interim Group Financial Accountant for an interim 3-month contract.

Working within a dynamic commercial environment, the post-holder will be a Qualified Accountant, ACCA, FCCA or similar qualification, with substantial post-qualification experience.

Job responsibilities:

• To lead the preparation of the Group s Annual Report & Accounts and assist as necessary with the financial statements for one of the two subsidiaries. 
• This will also include ensuring year end timetable deadlines are met, preparation/posting of year end journals, reviewing and advising on the effect of technical / reporting changes, and being a primary liaison point with the external auditors.
• Lead all other external financial reporting obligations includes Whole of Government Accounts.
• Maintenance of good balance sheet controls, ensuring reconciliations are performed and reviewed, and all balances can be substantiated.
• Control and maintenance of fixed asset records. 
• Development and maintenance of financial accounting and modelling systems such as necessary.
