Group Financial Controller | 6-9  months.    Up to 500 a day | Interim | Nottinghamshire 

We are working exclusively with a rapidly scaling company based in Nottingham.  This organisation has demonstrated continual growth and success in the UK and globally and they are looking for an Interim Group FC to oversee the finance function.

Role Overview                                                                                              

Our client is looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller for an interim position for 6-9 months. You will support the CFO, lead the finance team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.  This role will draw upon technical accounting skills, leadership and people management, project management and people skills.  The ideal person will be highly organised, excellent at prioriting and time management and you'll have a continuous improvement mindset.  You'll be very comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and have an aptitude for driving change, be that systems, process or organisational change.   You'll be passionate about developing a team, confident in delegating and not afraid to roll your sleeves up when required.  You'll have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable dealing with a variety of people from the finance team to the wider business including senior stakeholders and the CFO. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Leading the Finance team with over 20 people 
• Managing all statutory reporting (UK and international) 
• Month end financial reporting 
• Overseeing the year end audit process 
• Ensuring robust high quality controls are in place and are continuously improved 
• Overseeing finance operations, tax and payroll 
• Producing high quality management information 
• Able to develop and expand automation of finance processes 
• Oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis. 
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. 
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive financial efficiency. 
• Contribute to strategic decision-making processes. 

Qualifications and Experience 

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role. 
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). 
• Strong leadership skills 
• Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills.
