Summary: The role of Forensic Quantum Quantity Surveyor focuses on providing expert services for major civil claims, particularly in heavy civil works with a preference for tunnel expertise. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the client in quantifying a substantial Civils claim.
- Utilise outturn tunnel cost data to establish a base case for the works.
- Collaborate closely with an onshore team to understand and complete the scope.
- Assist the onshore team in quantifying and valuing the scope for completion.
- Provide a clear, quantified comparison of the work to be completed against the established base case.
- Determine the additional costs of completing the work compared to the base case.
- Enforce effective cost control measures to track the work progress accurately.
- Generate progressive forecasts for transparent communication of the final cost position.
- Regularly report the costs incurred during review meetings.
- Upon project completion, prepare a detailed report with cost breakdown and narrative, outlining the additional costs compared to the base case for inclusion in the overall claim submission.
