Our client is a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence. They are seeking an experienced Firmware Developer to join their Electro-Optical Seekers & Sensors Department as an FPGA Developer. The department provides specialised Electro-Optical support for their complex weapon programs, ranging from specification to delivery and support. The team also leads innovative R&D activities for future programs.

What we're looking for:

Essential

• Firmware design and development for Xilinx-SPF-Fibre video transceiver. Implementation of high-speed, synchronised video manipulation. VHDL, USB, HDMI, and Taxi test-bench development.
• Understanding and experience of Configuration Management principles
• Consistently deliver projects on time in a dynamic environment.
• Able to engage with various partners and forge strategic technical relationships.
• Essentially, be flexible, proactive, and able to work collaboratively and autonomously.

Desirable

• Systems engineering: Consulting internal customers & stakeholders to capture system requirements, completing design decomposition & specifications for software, mechanical & functional subsystems.

As a Firmware Developer, you will join the team developing EO seekers and sensors for complex weapons, responsible for developing FPGA firmware solutions for multiple products.
