Company Overview:
IN2 Consult are representing a client who are within the Real Estate industry who are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Accountant to join their team on a day rate contract for 6 months. You will be brought in to provide support in financial and management reporting along with the more commercial duties which include budgeting, forecasting and business partnering.
Job Duties:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including management accounts, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and analysis.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify areas for improvement in financial performance.
- Collaborate with both financial and non-financial management and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Required Qualifications:
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Experience:
- Experience in financial reporting and management accounting roles.
- Experience in preparing year-end statutory accounts and working with external auditors.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Real Estate/Housing industry or related sectors.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.
