The Role

As a Financial Analyst, you'll oversee vital processes in editorial and title profitability analysis, delivering essential insights at key meetings. Your role involves generating regular and ad hoc profitability reports, collaborating closely with the US team for high-quality data, and creating adaptable reporting structures. Additionally, you'll provide crucial materials for leadership meetings, offer training on profitability reporting, and analyse profitability against acquisition assumptions.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Editorial and Title Profitability, presenting analyses.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc profitability reports.
  • Develop adaptable reporting structures, ensuring data quality.
  • Provide Leadership Team materials, offering profitability training.
  • Analyse profitability against acquisition assumptions.
  • Collaborate on Audio and Rights income for growth plans.
  • Offer financial support for projects and Children's division.
  • Ensure accurate recording of promotional costs.
  • Create reports to monitor marketing expenses.
  • Prepare promotion budgets, handle stakeholder requests.
  • Review author royalty statements, assist system enhancements.
  • Provide ad hoc support for audits and finance queries.


Your Profile

To thrive in this role, you should ideally have:

  • A formal accountancy qualification such as ACA, CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • A commercial mindset and a willingness to collaborate with key operational stakeholders to drive value.
