Cedar is currently partnered with private-equity backed agritech business to secure an Interim Financial Accountant. The role is a 3 month contract, paying a day rate between 400-500 per day.

The Role

The goal is to support Group Finance by providing technical accounting expertise (IFRS) and assisting the Head of Technical Reporting in overseeing audits for a UK-based multinational group. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and facilitate international and local audits encompassing statutory and proforma aspects.
• Offer guidance on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to ensure compliance.
• Create comprehensive accounting and audit documentation, including manuals and risk assessments.
• Assist in documenting statutory reporting for the year-end audit.
• Collaborate with the Head of Department to ensure accurate and complete statutory submissions.
• Assist in drafting disclosure notes for the year-end audit.
• Assist in writing accounting policy documents to ensure clarity and consistency.

Your Profile

The ideal Financial Accountant will Ideally have:

• A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA).
• Previous experience in statutory accounts preparation, involvement in accounting policy review, etc.
• An ability to collaborate with diverse personalities and effectively explain finance to non-finance teams.

The rate of 400-500 per day represents fair compensation or a reasonable increase from your prior salary or day rate.
