Description
The Financial Accountant is an initially a temporary assignment and will be hybrid working 3 days per week in Didsbury office/2 remote. The role will report directly into the Financial Controller and key responsibilities will include:
Financial accounts production
Preparation of statutory accounts for all subsidiary entities from trial balance. This will include the profit and loss account, balance sheet, cashflow statement, SOCIE and all relevant disclosure notes to the accounts.
Audit
Liaising with the various subsidiary auditor teams internationally. Providing information requests including audit packs and co-ordinating fieldwork.
Reviewing reports & producing commentary
Provide an overview of key movements and variances on a quarterly and annual basis on the profit and loss account and balance sheets. Identify key variances and explain them.
Corporation Tax
Preparation of all corporation tax packs for the tax advisors. Providing responses to all queries raised by tax advisors and ensuring all tax returns are filed within the set deadlines.
Internal Controls
Support the Group Financial Controller in maintaining strong internal controls. This will include but not limited to below the line ("BTL") analysis, review of Group Compliance schedule, drafting and documentation of Financial policies & procedures. Additionally assisting with local taxation compliance, including Corporate Tax filings, VAT/Sales Tax filings and any payroll/social taxes returns and filings.

Profile
In order to apply for the role you should:
- Be an ACCA/ACA Studier/part qualified/Finalist
- Have previous experience in an Accountancy Practice
- Have experience of Statutory accounts
- Experience liaising with auditors, tax advisors and other professional advisors
- Be able to commute to Didsbury 3 days per week
- Be able to consider a temporary role initially
