Belcan Workforce Solutions is in search of a Financial Accountant to join Space and Defence client's team based in Farnborough.

As part of a small and dynamic team bringing all accounting functions in-house, you will have extensive opportunities to shape and establish new processes that will support our client's rapidly growing business. Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new challenges are crucial for this role.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Financial Accountant position encompasses responsibilities such as month-end close, regulatory, and financial reporting using MS Dynamics 365, external audit coordination, budget and forecast preparation, with a direct reporting line to the Head of Financial Control.

This will be a very 'hands on' role as our client moves all accounting activity in-house and introduces new accounting systems including MS Dynamics 365. You will be responsible for:

• Financial accounting
• General Ledger accounting
• Preparation of regulatory reporting and government statistics
• Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and variance analysis
• Preparation of VAT & Tax returns

About You

You should hold or be working toward a recognised UK or US Accounting qualification and have experience working in a smaller manufacturing business dealing with ramp up projects. Experience using MS Dynamics 365 is essential for the Financial Accountant.

Additional skills may include:

• SAP
• Prior experience with US GAAP reporting
• Ability to develop and implement appropriate financial controls.
