Finance & Planning Specialist
Immediate Start, 3-Month Initial Contract

Position Description:
- This role sits within the Central Business Office and is part of the Engineering Business Excellence Function in the delivery of Operational requirements within the business.
- The role will support the delivery of the Operational and Headcount budgets.
- You will work closely with the management team of the selected functional group in order to gather and collate their budgetary spend requirements.
- You will capture the requirements on a budget plan, which you will maintain on behalf of the functional group you are representing.
- On a weekly basis you will agree with the functional area which items need to progress to Financial approval.
- You will work with the functional team to ensure the requirements to support their requests are all in place (e.g. valid supplier quotes, raising of shopping carts in the Clients' SAP system etc.
- Justifications are complete, ensuring all items are submitted in an accurate and timely manner onto the central approval file.
Skills Required:
- Financially literate e.g. understands principles of commitment / expenditure / cash flow / accruals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong stakeholder management skills including clear communication, written / verbal

Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a business processes or financial environment
- Experience of collaboration cross-functional team working.
Experience Preferred:
- Knowledge of key relevant business systems and processes e.g. SAP / RADS system but full training will be given as required.
- Experience of automotive engineering environment
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Additional Information:
- Gaydon/ Whitley 2-3 days in office per week.
