p>We are working in partnership with One25, a highly respected Bristol wide charity for women moving from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community, with a vision of a world where all women are safe, feel loved and thrive.

One25 is seeking a Finance Manager (part time) to cover a period of maternity leave. The Finance Manager is the most senior finance person at the organisation, sitting in the SMT, and reporting to the CEO and Board of Trustees.

The postholder will provide appropriate, accurate, and timely financial information across the organisation s services and programmes and will be responsible for ensuring effective systems and procedures for financial management, control, reporting and monitoring, and producing and overseeing the organisation s annual budget in consultation with all managers and in agreement with the CEO, are maintained. Liaising with auditors and One25 s Treasurer to complete the annual audit (the majority of which will be pre-prepared by the current Finance Manager), is also expected.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in an equivalent role, and a qualified member of an accounting body (such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA or ACCA) or 'qualified by experience .
  • Experience of working within the charitable sector with an understanding of the charitable funding environment and fundraising processes, including gift aid.
  • Experience of budget preparation, setting and monitoring and financial forecasting.
  • Experience of data analysis and the creation and development of large complex spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of SORP and accounting practice and audit requirements.
  • High standard of IT skills, particularly in good knowledge of Excel (including use of advanced formulae, Pivot tables and simple macros) and in Microsoft Office (or equivalent package).
  • Good knowledge of payroll legislation.

We are seeking an individual with the ability to think creatively and adopt a solutions-focused 'can do approach. Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to present complex information to non-finance staff and Trustees in an accessible format is essential.

Hours:22 hours per week, over 3-4 days (including occasional evening and weekend commitments)
