p>Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a North West Local Authority who are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to provide key support across both authorities. These posts will be supported by an experienced leadership team and offers driven individuals the opportunity to add significant value to the Councils.
The Finance Business Partner roles will be responsible for providing high quality financial support and constructive challenge to a diverse range of Budget Holders, activities, initiatives, and projects within the council.
Responsibilities include;
- Taking a proactive approach in managing and delivering accounting services to Budget Holders
- Supporting the Head of Finance and various other members of the senior leadership team
- Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders, initiating and driving continuous improvement in service performance and efficiency
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that robust financial controls are in place, and that financial risk is understood
- Leading and developing a small customer-focussed Finance team
- Assisting the Head of Financial Planning in the proactive review of Team activities
The successful candidate;
- Ideally would be ACCA/CIMA Qualified Finance professional, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven business partnering approach with the ability to build influential relationships with non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to analyse complex financial information
- Public Sector Finance experience desirable, and will also consider applicants from wider sectors
