Legal & General Investment Management are currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join their Revenue team and support with key control activities to help to ensure that the LGIM Finance function continues to maintain a robust financial control framework.
For the right candidate, we can offer you up to 300 p/d inside of IR35 (plus 17.3% Umbrella uplift) to join LGIM on an initial 26-week contract, with the possibility of extension/permanent role, subject to performance and business requirements. Based out of the L&G office in Cardiff, you will work on a hybrid basis, attending the office 2 days per week.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will support the Revenue team with day-to-day management and control of balance sheet accounts, invoicing of clients and monthly reporting, together with Debtor MI and Ledger reconciliation.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Prepare and calculate monthly/quarterly revenue invoices for the LGIMA client base in a timely manner in accordance with the IMA's ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare month end journals for Sun and MI analysis to facilitate production of the month end accounts to ensure completeness of income.
- Liaising with Client Relationship Teams and Client Relationship Managers to ensure any changes to policies are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with the debtor recovery process from clients. Ensuring clients are paying debts in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of ad hoc work to investigate and address issues raised by Client Relationship Managers
- Assist in the preparation of ad hoc work to investigate and address identified financial control issues and emerging trends.
- Assist in the development of automation procedures to improve efficiencies in the current processes and mitigate risks.
- Ensure that procedure manuals are kept up to date and accurately reflect current processes.
- To process the monthly IO rebate payments on banking systems.
- Support the finance manager with any new responsibilities that may emerge.
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, knowledge, and skills:
- Fully qualified accountant or studying towards an ACA, ACCA or CIMA with significant in role accounting experience.
- Experience and understanding of key accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping and the concept of accruals is key to the role.
- Strong numeracy skills and comfortable with key financial concepts, with the ability to accurately handle volumes of financial data and manipulate the data for use in other financial or operational processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to interact with stakeholders across LGIM, the wider L&G group and external customers.
- Able to cope with periods of high-pressure, particularly during the busy month-end period, when you will be required to manage a variety of different deliverables concurrently.
- A team player with the willingness to openly share views and findings with other team members and a desire to take an active role in team meetings and discussions with management.
- Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and Word is required for this role.
- Proactive with great attention to detail.
- Experience within Financial Services, especially investment management, would be nice to have but not essential.
- You will be expected to develop knowledge of SUN, SCOPE, Revport, Folio and Salesforce - any existing knowledge would be advantageous.
