Summary: The School Site Cluster Manager will oversee facilities management and site staff across a Trust of Schools in North & Northwest London. This role requires a strong background in site management, health and safety policies, and facilities experience. The position is temp-to-perm with an immediate start. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while managing operational resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall operational management and maintenance of the London Cluster including oversight of grounds, catering, security/key holding and cleaning services where applicable.
- Work with the Principals, the Operations Manager, the Site Managers and Trust estates team to identify long-term infrastructure/premises issues, propose solutions, and support delivery of major projects.
- Adopt and implement estates initiatives and systems leading in the review of condition to support project planning.
- Act as an energy champion to reduce and manage energy consumption.
- Support Senior Leadership Team with the effective and efficient running of the Academy premises, including health and safety compliance and contract management.
- Ensure all School systems are adhered to including leading on compliance and development planning with Site Managers and Supervisors.
- Use appropriate systems to monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of facilities management within the academy.
- Ensuring all Health and Safety legislation is up-to-date and checked regularly.
- Budget Management.
- Adhering to all safeguarding procedures.
Key Skills:
- Experience as a caretaker, site supervisor or similar role.
- Good working knowledge of management and maintenance of buildings, mechanical, electrical and other infrastructure systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety, first aid, medical, fire safety, risk management regulations and requirements.
- Recognised Health & Safety training i.e. IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Recognised facilities management qualification.
