Job Description: Engineering Change Manager

Location: Glasgow

Job Type: Contract

Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of engineering change processes within the organisation
  • Develop and implement effective change management strategies and plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and prioritise engineering change requests
  • Ensure that changes are properly documented, tracked, and communicated to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of engineering changes on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure smooth execution of change activities
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams in implementing approved engineering changes
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering changes
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with change management processes and procedures
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practises in engineering change management

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in change management within an engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management within an engineering environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and processes
  • Proficiency in change management methodologies and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Professional certification in change management
  • Prior experience in the military and defence industry

Working Conditions:

  • This is a contract position, expected to work Full-Time hours
  • Work will primarily be conducted in an office environment
  • Occasional travel may be required to visit suppliers or project sites
