One of our clients, a partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer. The engineer should have expertise in Radiation Effects. The engineer will work with other engineers with a wealth of experience across various technologies and products. They are happy to share their knowledge to support each other, ensuring that opportunities for improvement are identified, and best practices are upheld.
As an Electronic Design Engineer, you'll play a vital role in a friendly and supportive team. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the team's success by merging it with that of preceding team members.
What we're looking for:
- Ideally, degree qualified with significant post-qualification experience in Electronic Design, development, and delivery.
- One should be able to lead significant electronic design projects and have experience working within a diverse team, with an awareness of the challenges it may bring.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and knowledge of a wide range of electronic technologies and products.
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking, enable me to negotiate and influence stakeholders across the organisation effectively.
What you'll get to do as an Electronic Design Engineer - Radiation Effects:
As an electronic design specialist for weapon systems, you'll develop advanced solutions for missile sub-systems and Land, Sea, and Air-based Firing Units. You'll ensure high-quality electronic solutions that deliver top-notch performance and provide cost and schedule updates to the project manager.
To excel in this role, you must have a proven track record in electronic design capability across the product life cycle, from concept to production. Your expertise in Power and Analogue Electronics will be crucial in implementing technical solutions at the sub-system and board level.
Collaboration with other domains, including Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Environmental, and EMC, will ensure your designs meet all requirements. By working closely with these teams, you will be crucial in delivering top-notch missile solutions to our customers.
