Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for an Electrical Test Operator to join our client on an initial 12 month deal working from Bolton.

Responsibilities:

As a Product Certification and Testing Specialist, you play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products. Your responsibilities include:

  • Certifying products in accordance with the Product Certification procedure, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Conducting regular audits to uphold product certification and approval processes.
  • Demonstrating a versatile skill set, applying expertise across a range of tasks related to product testing and certification.
  • Performing setup procedures for testing, ensuring awareness of the need for periodic recalibration of test equipment.
  • Conducting tests on electronic equipment as per specified test instructions, utilizing designated test equipment.
  • Performing simple fault-finding procedures on electronic equipment and maintaining detailed test records.
  • Ensuring manufacturing test times are met, contributing to efficient production processes.
  • Checking and completing all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack with precision.
  • Upholding exceptional workmanship standards and product quality in all testing procedures.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Upholding a strong housekeeping policy, promoting cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Communicating best practices to fellow team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Skillset/Experience Required:

We are seeking a dedicated team player who demonstrates a strong customer focus and possesses proven planning and organizing skills. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Proficient in a formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3, TR23, TR21, ONC, or possess an equivalent certificate from formal further education.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to tackle diverse tasks and responsibilities with efficiency and enthusiasm.
  • Effective in communication, capable of sharing knowledge and best practices with team members.
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in testing procedures and record-keeping.
  • Committed to maintaining high-quality standards and compliance in all aspects of product testing and certification.
