Our client, who is a trusted partner of the Ministry of Defence in the UK, are in search of a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Operator. As a valuable member of the Manufacturing Team, the operator will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults in bespoke cabling according to drawing specifications. This is a full-time position that offers the potential for a contract extension or permanent employment and is based on-site.

What we're looking for:

• To be considered, it is required that you have finished a technical engineering or craft apprenticeship. As evidence of completion, you must provide a copy of your certificate. Please meet this requirement to avoid disqualification.
• "Approved Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship Framework/Modern Apprenticeship
• Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3"
• Or "Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education, ONC or City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3"
• Or "Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNCIPC 620 & Dynamic"
• IPC620 & Cabling certified Required/ trained preferred.
• Prior experience in electrical wiring, maintenance, and assembly, as well as in the aerospace or defence industry, would be advantageous.
• SAP experience and familiarity with Environmental Stress Screening Facilities (ESS) must be present.

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Calibration and Maintenance Operator:

• Fault-finding and subsequent repair of cable assemblies.
• Carry out surface mount repair on CCAs.
• Troubleshoot and repair test/measurement equipment down to the component level. Additionally, assist with the maintenance of manufacturing aids whenever necessary.
• PAT testing across the manufacturing site.
• Examine drawings during fault-finding activities.
• Safety systems testing of Test & Measuring equipment in line with documented procedures.
• Provide technical support to help with the smooth servicing of STTE, which includes production testing of hardware and repairing during the contract.
• Possess excellent workspace husbandry disciplines and maintain a high degree of tool control and FOD practices.
