Our client is looking for a Devops Engineer with good knowledge of Java and Oracle, comfortable with dependency injection and tools such as the Spring framework, and experience of building micro services.
The role will also support continued progression of the software modernisation agenda supporting development and implementation of Agile Development processes and DevSecOps technologies and techniques.

Job Description
The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:
1. Support to Software Requirements Development & Management.
2. Analysis of Software Requirements.
3. Perform Software Design.
4. Perform Coding and Code Reviews.
5. Perform Software Testing and Reporting.
6. Produce Software Release Documentation.
7. Support Software Sustainment Activities.
8. Support development and implementation of USP Agile Development processes.
9. Support development and implementation of USP DevSecOps and micro-services technologies.
10. Support software sustainment activities e.g. (analyse and resolve software faults etc.)

Your Experience:
Experienced Java & Oracle (JDBC, JPA, Hiberbate) developer.
Micro-service architectures and horizontal scaling via load balancing
Familiar with web protocols HTTP/Websockets
Spring framework & dependency injection
Experience with web security, specifically using SSL and JWT
Multi-threading using Java
Agile Software development process Kanban/ sprint development etc
Working in a DevOps / DevSecOps development environment (e.g JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Nexus etc)
