The Role As a Drainage Engineer, you’ll attend domestic and commercial sites across the SO postcode region (plus nearby areas if needed) to carry out investigations, unblock drains, perform repairs and deliver long-lasting solutions. Jobs are typically high value, booked in as free-of-charge quotes – giving you time to build rapport and win customer trust. You’ll use your technical knowledge to diagnose faults, resolve issues and recommend further works where needed.

You’ll Be Responsible For Unblocking drains using high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) Diagnosing and resolving drainage faults, minor excavations and patch lining Advising customers and quoting on-site in a clear, trustworthy manner Using CCTV equipment to carry out surveys Working within a tight-knit team to deliver excellent service Following all health & safety procedures and contributing to a culture of safety and responsibility

What We’re Looking For Experience in a reactive or repair drainage engineer role Ability to unblock drains using rods or HPWJ equipment A confidence communication style, with a real passion for providing exceptional customer service. Full UK manual driving licence, held for 2+ years, with no more than 6 points Right to work in the UK without sponsorship Comfortable working alone and outdoors, with a customer-first attitude High-pressure water jetting certificate or experience Experience in patch lining or minor plumbing repairs

Location & Hours Location: Field-based across Portsmouth and the PO postcode area Hours: Monday-Friday, including occasional on-call rota and overtime opportunities Office Setup: You’ll report into the local franchise team with strong support from head office – plus regular face-to-face interaction with the Regional Development Manager
