We are recruiting a Design Engineering Service (Mechanical + Others) for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield. You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company.
This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years.

Key Responsibilities of the Design Engineering Services - Exterior Trim Systems:
Development of accessory parts Mechanical discipline (as primary) and Trim (as secondary) according to project requirement within cost and timing target
Supplier management (cost / quality and timing)
Meeting regulation & safety performance
Managing and reporting test validation
Managing and reporting cost performance
Managing and reporting part quality / reliability
Technical analysis of market concerns as support to QA team when required.
Managing and reporting adoption timing and delivery
Secure industry leading customer satisfaction
Competitor benchmark and trend, research & analysis
Supporting global strategies with European customer voice
Work within a cross functional global team.

Qualifications & Experience for the Design Engineering Services - Exterior Trim Systems:
Design / engineering qualification BEng / BSc or equivalent
CAD interrogation skills Preferred with NX but not essential
Time management skills
Microsoft office proficient
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills across a variety of stakeholders

Monday to Friday
39 hours per week
25.96p/h equivalent to 52.849pa
