My client, a global consultancy are currently looking to recruit a Data Science Delivery Lead for a 6 month, outside IR35 contract role based in the South of England (Hybrid Role, 1 day per week in the office)



Key Deliverables



* Lead the delivery of Data science team for a Personal/commercial insurer

* Manage a team of Data scientists, often with PhD/Advanced degrees in data science

* Work with Sr. / Exec stakeholders and cater to organisational Data Science requirements in a pragmatic manner (Underwriting, Claims and Customer analytics)

* Have oversight of PnL, accountability for outcomes /ROI of data science projects

* Deliver multiple high value Data science projects through the team, starting out as a PoC and maturing into a production grade solution, confining to DevOps and MLOps approach

* Provide thought leadership to the organisation on strategy and way forward for data science delivery, including PoVs and white papers



Key expectations from the suitable candidate



* Has circa 20 year of experience in Data science space (started out in SAS/Statistical modelling preferably)

* Strong experience leading teams of data scientists, specifically individuals with PhD/Masters in Data science

* Have a pragmatic approach to operationalisation of data science i.e., leveraging limited budget to deliver business outcomes, as against DS team members trying R&D/open ended approaches

* Reporting to CDO and helping shape Org strategy for Data science utilisation Third Nexus Group Third Nexus Group
