Data Engineer Contract

Outside IR35

400- 440/day

We are looking for a data engineer to join a client of ours on an initial 3 month contract as they move onto the next phase of their migration project. Looking for a data engineer with a strong background in Advanced SQL and Python Scripts, Azure data platform, Power BI, ETL exposure. It is a hybrid role, and the candidate is required to be onsite for at least 2-3 days a week, with their core office days being Tuesday and Wednesday.

Requirements:

- Technical experience in advanced SQL queries (expert), Power BI, Azure Cloud experience, ETL exposure

- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI

- Experience with data modelling

- Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Bricks

- Experience using CI/CD pipelines, Azure Repos

- Proficient in utilizing Key Vault and Microsoft Entra ID.

- Well-versed in data warehouse methodologies, including Kimball.

- Knowledge of Python programming language

 Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract data from various sources and write advanced SQL queries

- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports to provide insights into business performance

- Work with Azure Cloud technologies to manage and store data in Azure datalakes and data warehouse

- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions

- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency
