Hays Technology are recruiting a Data/BI Analyst to join a growing public sector organisation in central Leeds on a 3 month contract paying circa 250 per day, working 2 days per week in the office. You will be part of the Management Information Systems Team and reporting to the MIS Project Manager.

Your new role

You will be working to provide accurate, relevant, timely, and accessible data reports, whilst ensuring the dashboards for the organisation are user friendly and fit for purpose. You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards using reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI, whilst supporting with the implementation of the new student record system and link to existing MI systems. You will be working with other stakeholders within the organisation to automate manual processes to aid accuracy and reliability of MIS Data.

What you ll need to succeed

Experience of working in an MIS environment
Experience of producing, interpreting, and working with complex data sets
Experience of using Microsoft SQL, MS reporting services, and Power BI
Experience of a higher education or public sector background would be advantageous.
Effective communication, interpersonal skills, resilience, and flexibility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

What you ll get in return

This role is paying between 200 and 300 per day (Inside IR35) depending on experience. The role is hybrid working with 2 days per week in the central Leeds office on a 3 month contract
