Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Data Analyst for Electric Vehicle Research, and the role comes with an attractive contract rate of 27/hr PAYE.

As a Data Analyst (Electric Vehicle Research), you will support the electric vehicle research team with trend research, horizon scanning and data analysis. You will work across automotive trends, batteries for electric vehicles, advanced power electronics and electricity network integration. Specific projects will require the filtering, processing and analysing raw data collected from various measurement and quantifying systems.

In your first few weeks in this Data Analyst (Electric Vehicle Research) role, you can expect to:

  • Contribute to the production of predictive modelling tools.
  • Be involved in ongoing projects, attend European technical conferences and produce high quality, fact based communications.
  • Filter, process, analyse and report large data sets using Python to meet project requirements.
  • Contribute to annual and monthly reports, respond positively to feedback and priortise usefulness to the final output.
  • Carry out successful diagnosis of vehicles in the field through practical examination/experiment
  • Create clear, detailed reports as a result of investigations so R&D function can then act upon the findings
  • Create and maintain FTA; warranty analysis to aid the planning of vehicle test/investigation

  • Fundamentals of Python, including knowledge of debugging, algorithms, data structures, objects and arrays
  • Degree educated in a STEM field
  • Experience in data analysis within industry, preferably automotive, power electronics, powertrains or energy networks
  • Basic professional computer skills (MS Windows) and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of any of the following areas would be an advantage: automotive trends, batteries for electric vehicles, advanced power electronics and electricity network integration.

The role will involve European and international travel.
