Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical engineering team in concept ideation, prototyping, and testing of thermal control and heat exchange systems
• Perform thermal analysis and modelling to inform enclosure, heat sink, and cooling system designs
• Create CAD models, drawings, simulations to facilitate fabrication of optimised emission sensor prototypes
• Hands-on prototyping and refinement testing of sensors and sampling equipment
• Ensure robust documentation, change management, and design history

Requirements

• Specialization in thermodynamics and 5+ years relevant work experience
• Expertise in analysis of heat transfer, fluid flow, and performing thermal calculations
• Demonstrated experience designing thermal management solutions for gas sampling and electronic systems
• Extensive hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and refinement testing

Contract Details:

• Location: North London
• Rate: 40-44 per hour
• Start: Immediate
• Duration: 3-6 months+
