Contract Design Engineer (outside IR3) - London

Pay 45 50 per hour (outside IR35). Our client is a fast-paced global leader in consumer goods, designing and creating 5* products for their consumers, they are currently recruiting a Contract Design Engineer on a 3-month contract to support their team in London. This contract is outside IR35 and is paying 45- 50 per hour. This is a great opportunity to work with a company which has a reputation for consistently creating 5-star reviewed products.

As Contract Design Engineer You Will Be Responsible For

• Detailed design from brief through to prototyping and then production.
• Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing and analysis of test data.
• Design verification to validate concepts.
• Detailed CAD design using Solidworks.
• Work with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.
  
  

To be a successful Contract Design Engineer you will have:

• Proven experience as a Contract Design Engineer.
• Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product or Innovation Engineering.
• Experience in medical devices, automotive, robotics, consumer electronics or household/kitchen appliances.
• Able to perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and stress/FEA.
• 3D CAD (CREO preferred. Solidworks, NX or Inventor considered).
