Job Description: The role of Contract Business Analyst focuses on supporting strategic and operational initiatives within the London Market insurance sector, specifically for Lloyd's broking houses. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to gather business requirements and facilitate change initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the insurance industry and a strong understanding of relevant systems and processes. This contract role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the office, with a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, operations, and IT to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyse and map current and future state processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the delivery of change initiatives including system implementations, regulatory compliance, and process optimisation.
- Facilitate workshops, produce high-quality documentation (BRDs, user stories, process flows), and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
Skills Required:
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Extensive knowledge of the London Market, including Lloyd's of London, syndicates, MGAs, or broking houses.
- Familiarity with insurance systems (e.g., PPL, Whitespace, IRIS, Genius, or similar).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working on both business and technology-driven projects.
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with regulatory or compliance-driven projects (e.g., IFRS 17, Solvency II).
- Knowledge of data and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL).
