We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join on an agency contract for 6 months. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing expert psychiatric care, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals with a range of mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychiatric interventions and medication management.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
- Participate in regular clinical reviews and case conferences.
- Offer expert advice and support to colleagues, including junior medical staff and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in psychiatry.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Completion of specialist training in psychiatry and inclusion on the Specialist Register of the GMC.
- CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or equivalent in psychiatry.
- Proven experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist, demonstrating competence in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
