We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join on an agency contract for 6 months. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing expert psychiatric care, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals with a range of mental health conditions. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans.


2. Provide evidence-based psychiatric interventions and medication management.


3. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and coordinated care.


4. Participate in regular clinical reviews and case conferences.


5. Offer expert advice and support to colleagues, including junior medical staff and allied health professionals.


6. Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.


7. Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in psychiatry.


8. Participate in on-call duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).


2. Completion of specialist training in psychiatry and inclusion on the Specialist Register of the GMC.


3. CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or equivalent in psychiatry.


4. Proven experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist, demonstrating competence in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.


5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.


7. Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
