About The Role
Pay Details: Grade 6
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours/ 5 days a week with some weekend and bank holiday working
Main Place of Work: Barry Police Station
Temporary Reason: External funding.

Description:
We require a dynamic, engaging, and self-motivated individual to join the Community Safety Team. The role will work in partnership with a range of stakeholders to provide a visible presence across the Vale, problem solving and assisting in dealing with community safety issues. Based with the Community Safety Team, the successful candidate will assist with identifying issues, providing a reactive response, problem solving, positive community engagement and signposting in order to achieve positive outcomes for the community.
About You
We are looking for an engaging and effective communicator, with an ability to work with a range of individuals, communities and businesses. The successful candidate will need to be innovative, self-motivated and confident in dealing with a range of community safety related issues. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude, someone happy to respond to the busy requirements of a diverse team and take on a flexible approach to their work.
Key requirements are excellent customer service skills, communication skills, an ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships and to maintain client s confidentiality.
Additional information
DBS Check Required: Yes Enhanced DBS check required. In order to work in Community Safety, Police Level 3 Vetting will also be required. This will be organised by the Community Safety Team following successful recruitment.
