Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse

We are collaborating with a local NHS Trust who are seeking a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join their team in Kensington & Chelsea.

Department: Community Mental Health Team for Older Adults

Location: Community based Kensington & Chelsea

Rate of pay:  28 p/h (Negotiable depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours p/wk

Contract: 3 month initial contract with the view of extension

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a defined caseload of service users living in the community who have a range of complex mental health needs.
• Undertake holistic community assessments of service users referred to using Risk Assessment tools, Mental State examination, and integrated clinical notes system.
• Provide support and advice to users, carers, and other professionals on mental health issues relating to older people.

Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC pin
• Community experience is essential
