About the role
Their vision is a fulfilled life for everyone affected by spinal cord injury with the aim to double the number of members accessing their network of services - this role connects individuals and groups with their work, development long-lasting relationships so that supporters are financially, actively, and emotionally engaged with the charity.
In this role, you will support the growth and development of community fundraising activities, both locally and nationally, securing voluntary income to fund crucial services for the spinal cord injury community. As part of the Investments and Partnerships team, you will build relationships with individuals, groups and community organisations and support their fundraising activities, as well as identify local charity of the year opportunities.
You will also work with the donor development coordinator to establish engaged and supported regional fundraising groups, working collaboratively with other teams across the charity, as well as external colleagues in their wider network.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working with individuals and groups as an ambassador for the cause and securing support for the charity through excellent relationship management.
- Responding to enquiries and sending information and collateral as needed.
- Stewarding fundraisers, acting as first point of contact throughout.
- Producing personalised promotional materials to support fundraisers.
- Posting social media content to promote fundraiser activities.
- Assisting the donor development coordinator to establish new regional community fundraising groups, working closely with the services teams.
- Assisting in recruitment of fundraising volunteers for groups.
