Commissioning Engineer (Site acceptance test support) - negotiable day rates - 3 months (extensions likely) - Staffordshire and France - SC cleared - Immediate start available - Sector: Energy / Nuclear
Yolk recruitment is recruiting for systems test engineer to work with a global leader in the energy sector as they support the commission of a nuclear site in France.
Due to the security nature of work on a nuclear site the candidate will need to hold a British pass and an active SC security clearance on submission.
The FAT phase of the project has recently been completed and the installation of hardware on site is in progress.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the project team, and to conduct the system/software testing for site commissioning, and to lead the Site Acceptance Test to be completed in accordance with approved specifications.
Responsible:
The control system architecture is based on the following main components:
- Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLCs
- Allen Bradley Flex I/O
- Allen Bradley PanelView Plus Performance HMIs
- Allen Bradley Stratix Network Switches
- Allen Bradley PLX51 Datalogger
- Inficon Pressure Transmitter Devices on DeviceNet network
Core Skills:
- Must hold a UK passport and an active SC security clearance.
- Must be able and willing to work abroad on the client's site in France
- PLC Ladder Logic programming in Rockwell Studio 5000
- Inter PLC communications configuration (using Produced/Consumed Tags)
- HMI system design and configuration in Rockwell FactoryTalk View Studio ME
- Rockwell RSNetworx for DeviceNet and Ethernet Networks
- Understanding of / producing site Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
- Site general health and safety, including working/testing with LV electrical control panels
Desirable Skills:
- Prosoft PLX50 Configuration Utility for datalogger setup/interface
- Use of PACTware configuration tool for instrument setup
- Working with low pressure gas / vacuum / leak detection systems
