Job Description: The role of Commercial Finance Analyst - Manufacturing involves supporting the accurate recording and reporting of retail margin through the analysis of production P&L's. This position is crucial for identifying revenue generation opportunities and cost reductions within a fast-paced environment. The analyst will collaborate across various teams to enhance financial reporting and drive efficiency in month-end processes. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Nuneaton, with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of month-end close process including posting journals, inter-company transactions, P&L and margin review, Capex review, managing accruals & prepayments.
  • Building relationships across the wider finance, production, and distribution teams to help deliver robust cost analysis and supporting commentary.
  • Support in timely and accurate delivery of insightful reporting.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring they are all completed to an auditable standard with clear explanation/back-up of balances and ensuring that any risk or opportunity is identified at the monthly management account reviews.
  • Manage and enhance production P&L's and consolidated reports.
  • Review of purchasing control adherence within the business and engaging teams in order to drive best practice.
  • Responsible for driving efficiency and control in month-end processes, reducing month-end close and reporting timelines.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, taking ownership of the planning of specific departments.
  • Management and tracking of continuous improvement activity across the network.

Skills Required:

  • Open to QBE or qualified.
  • 2-3 years' experience in analyst/management accountant role, preferably within production/manufacturing/sourcing.
  • Demonstratable excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide reporting insight and key decision support across the function.
  • Proficiency in managing the month-end close process.
  • Expertise in delivering timely and insightful financial reports.
  • Initiative to interpret financial data and uncover the underlying story in the accounts.

The Purpose Of The Role

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Through the creation and analysis of the production P&L's, you will support the accurate recording and reporting of retail margin across several entities, whilst helping to identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost reduction. This is a great opportunity to play a pivotal part in a fast paced, changing environment to support the transformational goals of Holland & Barrett.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close Process: Delivery of month-end close process including posting journals, inter-company transactions, P&L and margin review, Capex review, managing accruals & prepayments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Building relationships across the wider finance, production, and distribution teams to help deliver robust cost analysis and supporting commentary.
  • Reporting: Support in timely and accurate delivery of insightful reporting.

Open to QBE or qualified. 2-3 years' experience in analyst/management accountant role, preferably within production /manufacturing / sourcing. Expertise in delivering timely and insightful financial reports. Initiative to interpret financial data and uncover the underlying story in the accounts.
