As we experience significant growth and development, we’re looking for a Collections Team Manager to join our dynamic Collections function. Our mission is to engage with a variety of debtors and help recover outstanding amounts owed. We are seeking a driven leader to set high standards in debt collection, support clients’ financial health, and guarantee strong cash flow. As a point of escalation, you’ll guide your team, promote validated methods, and build strong partnerships. This role offers the chance to inspire your team, lead impactful projects, and drive business improvements. Join us on this exciting journey as we shape the future!

This is a hybrid role, predominantly based from home. Travel to the Leeds Hub will only be required once a week (Mondays) and for adhoc occasions.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervising team performance to make sure compliance with contractually agreed metrics as well as developing and upskilling team members through regular one-on-one sessions, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment and working closely with your team to cultivate a professional culture among employees, clients, and key account customers.
  • By sharing effective strategies you’ll guarantee the efficient resolution of queries, ultimately leading to the prompt payment of invoices.
  • Leading client service improvement plans, addressing risks and issues, ensuring quality assurance, and delivering accurate and timely reporting both internally and externally.
  • Continuously reviewing, developing and communicating the strategies of the team, ensuring effectiveness and productivity is maximised, and that they are aligned with the wider business strategy.
  • Dealing with advanced queries and critical issues from external collaborators with a strong focus on clear and achievable actions, timely delivery, and quality outcomes.
  • Analysing and reporting on key operational metrics to provide insight and assurance as to overall performance of your team.

  • Proven track record to lead by example, delivering outstanding standards and performance across the department while prioritising the needs of customers, clients, and colleagues.
