The client is a manufacturing company based in Altrincham specialising in steel & aluminium castings for the Aerospace, Defence and Oil and Gas Industries.

They currently require a Hurco CNC Operator/Machinist to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
• Perform quality control checks to ensure parts meet required standards
• Set up and adjust machine settings and tooling as needed
• feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Use tools and measuring instruments to inspect and assemble parts

Skills:

• Proficient in operating CNC machines and understanding their functions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks
• Knowledge of materials handling and tooling techniques
• Familiarity with hand tools used in the manufacturing process
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
• Experience with Hurco CNC machines advantageous
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues

This position requires a high level of precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machines and performing quality control checks. They should also have the ability to read blueprints, use hand tools, and perform basic math calculations. Experience with casting, foundry work, is a plus.
