Location: North West England, Cheshire, Warrington


Job Type: Contract, Full-Time


Salary: Up to 49.00 per hour PAYE / Up to 65.00 per hour Umbrella

Job Duties:


  • Develop and implement commissioning strategies and plans for engineering projects.

  • Oversee the entire commissioning process, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.

  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Manage and lead a team of commissioning engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project delays and budget overruns.

  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety guidelines.

  • Conduct quality control inspections to verify the functionality and performance of commissioned systems.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as design and construction, to optimise project outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to commissioning activities, including reports, test results, and technical specifications.

Required Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager or similar role in the engineering industry.

  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, methodologies, and best practises.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to analyse complex technical information and make sound decisions.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Education:


  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning roles within the engineering industry.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Deep understanding of engineering principles and practises.

  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master s degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Professional certifications in project management or commissioning.

Working Conditions:


  • Work in an office and on-site environment, with occasional travel required.

  • May need to work extended hours to meet project deadlines.

  • Adherence to health and safety guidelines is essential.
