Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh/Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Chart of Accounts Delivery Specialist for an initial 6 month contract with option to extend on a rate of 350- 400/day (Inside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly build subject matter knowledge related to both the existing and new CoA (which continues to be developed) and in particular the work already complete on the RVS sets
- Share information and gather feedback from customer finance teams to capture, record and validate the RVS on which programmes are available to each cost centre (and other related information)
- Managing data quality issues through direct liaison with customers and implementation partners as required
- Contribute to related system implementation activities within Record to Report, including CoA and General Ledger configuration, testing, reporting and data migration
Essential Skills:
- This is a finance related role but does not require a formal finance qualification.
- Strong working knowledge of finance operating and reporting environments with a focus on finance systems.
- Working knowledge of financial Chart of Accounts, including segment definition, reporting impacts and accounting implications.
- Ability to communicate complex financial and technical information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Confident verbal and written communication, able to lead and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes that are within the parameters of defined policy.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise own workload to meet project timelines, proactively assuring that stakeholder contributions are timely and of sufficient quality.
- Comfortable managing high volumes of data using basic Microsoft Excel functionality.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of working within public sector in a central/corporate finance environment
- Experience of working with Oracle financials.
- Familiarity with the Related Value Set facility in Oracle Cloud or Cross Validation Rules
