CE&I Designer (Inside IR35)
Contract Term: 12 Months
Contracting Authority: Sellafield
Location: Whitehaven or Warrington
As a CE&I Designer your main responsibilities will be:
- To aid in the resolution of equipment obsolescence issues and specification of replacement items, design substantiation of systems and instruments that provide SM or SRE safety functions, designs for modifications to facilitate plant improvements, redline drawings and PMP reviews.
- To quickly self-deliver pragmatic CE&I design solutions from a brief problem statement with minimal supervision and to be responsive to changing priorities.
- To produce a design pack in totality including production of CAD drawings when required.
- To support more junior members of the team in the production of design packs.
- To be involved with the installation of their own designs.
You ll have:
- Ideally, a relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience as a CE&I Designer, preferably in a nuclear or highly regulated industry.
- Ideally, some familiarity with the specific requirements and standards associated with nuclear facilities.
- Ideally, an understanding and knowledge of relevant national and international regulations and standards governing nuclear facilities and CE&I design.
- Proficiency in using design software and tools related to control systems, electrical systems, and instrumentation.
- Capability in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
