Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Buyer to join a public sector organisation based in Merseyside. The role is an initial 3-month interim contract with the potential to extend.
The Role:
- Understand and ensure that all purchases are made in accordance with procurement policies and procedures and comply with all relevant standards and statutory requirements
- Establish and maintain effective liaison and communication and relationships across all stakeholder levels
- Developing ongoing relationships, and providing relevant information in respect of all purchasing activity
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff through exchanges of information via electronic and other means
- Investigate and analyse complaints and queries regarding stock and nonstock purchase in a prompt and efficient manner
- Work with other members of the Procurement team to meet individual and Departmental Business Plan Objectives
The Person:
- Experience within providing quotes
- End to end tendering experience or assisting tenders
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- CIPS desirable
