Business Analyst - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 3 Months with poss. extension.
Contracting Authority: Digital Health & Care, Wales
Location: Hybrid Remote & 1 day p/week in Cardiff flexible.
Digital Health and Care Wales is an ambitious organisation created by Welsh Government to lead on the digital transformation of health and care. It builds on the digital architecture and national services put in place by the NHS Wales Informatics Service over the past decade.
The organisation will lead on large-scale developments that make a significant difference to the people of Wales as well as to health and care professionals, such as expansion of the digital patient record and the creation of a National Shared Care Record. It will improve the way data is collected, shared and used. We will achieve this by working in partnership with NHS Wales organisations, Local Authorities and through our expert and dedicated workforce.

As a Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be:
- Analysing & evaluating business processes; identifying alternative solutions inc. assessment of process feasibility & articulation of process requirements.
- Analysing stakeholder objectives, investigating business requirements & identifying potential benefits & options available for consideration.
- Modelling current & desired scenarios as directed using appropriate modelling techniques, gaining agreement from subject matter experts & ensuring stakeholder issues are resolved.
- Planning business analysis activities, across all phases of projects inc. identification, assessment & management of risks and production of realistic plans, contributing towards lessons learned.
- Establishing or maintaining a data structure & its associated components by applying data analysis & modelling techniques using a detailed understanding of business processes.
You ll have relevant experience in:
- Demonstrable Business Analysis experience, inc. user stories / requirements gathering & analysis / process mapping / as-is and future state mapping.
- Large scale project / programme environment experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills ability to work closely with Business Architects / other BA s / Project Managers & across multi-disciplinary teams / user cohorts.
- Agile methodology experience.
- Six Sigma experience.
