Harvey Nash s Client is recruiting for a Business Analyst on a 6 month contract.

Main Responsibilities

Business Analyst

• Understanding of planning and dependencies Be able to identify related tasks and raise issues with planned activities.
• Support workshops Be able to support in delivery of workshops, as well as run workshops with smaller groups of stakeholders (both online and in-person).

System Design

• Make recommendations to approach - Be able to use analysis to identify risk and/or suggest improvements.
• Understand both functional and non-functional requirements - Be able to make suggestions for improvements and identify risks where appropriate that consider both the systems and business needs.

System Testing

• Business checks - Be able to work closely with stakeholders to ensure that changes to applications and related Business process work as expected.
• Ad hoc User Acceptance testing - Be able to work with technical teams to check changes work as expected prior to sharing with Stakeholders.

System Documentation

• Support development of training materials - Be able to challenge existing materials to ensure they produce the best experience for the relevant stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Confident communicator - Be able to appropriately adjust communication style to different levels of technical experience.
• Build relationships with key technical and non-technical stakeholders within the Project - Be able to work well with both existing stakeholders and identify additional stakeholders where appropriate.
• Confident Microsoft Excel User Be able to use MS Excel to monitor and track work as well as perform analysis when required including vlookups, pivot tables etc.
