Summary: The Benefits Consultant role at Scottish Power involves managing and administering benefits programs while leading projects to enhance policy efficiency and automation. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective communication regarding benefits. The consultant will also analyze benefits data to assess competitiveness and engagement. This is an inside IR35 contract role based in Glasgow with hybrid working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer day-to-day operations of ScottishPower’s benefits schemes, including overseeing enrolment, changes, and terminations.
- Reconcile monthly benefit reports and coordinate with payroll for accurate deductions and contributions.
- Maintain relationships with benefits providers to ensure smooth delivery of services.
- Manage escalated queries from employees and benefit providers, liaising with relevant teams to resolve issues.
- Support the delivery of the annual benefits cycle and communications plan.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to enhance their knowledge of benefits-related queries.
- Analyze benefit uptake data and evaluate engagement against peer benchmarks.
- Lead projects to review and improve existing benefit policies and processes.
- Coordinate external and internal reporting requirements and ensure governance of benefits processes.
- Administer and track benefit spend on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Work closely with colleagues to coordinate the delivery of benefit cycle processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
