Family Time Supervisors (Casual Contracts)

Band 6 - 12.38 per hour

Bradford is a City which offers a richness of culture and diversity; it is the fourth largest Metropolitan District in the country and home to a population of 534,300 residents. Bradford has the largest percentage of population under the age of 16 outside London; over 3% of the population is under the age of 20. Bradford is one of the most diverse areas in England with over 37% of the population from BAME groups.

As we expand our Family Time team we are looking to recruit Casual Family Time Supervisors to work with us to supervise Family Time sessions across the district.

We are looking to recruit friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our team and we want to hear from you if you;

Have enthusiasm for supporting children and their families

Have excellent communication skills

Have the ability to work as part of and contribute to a team whilst working with own initiative

The main responsibilities for the role are;

To supervise Family Time between Children in Care and their families where this is ordered by the court and agreed to be in the child's best interests. This could be either in a community setting, family home or a suitable setting as agreed by the Team Manager or Senior Family Time Supervisor.

To contribute to services for Children in Care and their families by providing a consistent, child focussed service that is in the child's best interests.

To feedback to the Team Manager/Social Worker or Senior Family Time Supervisor any issues in respect of safeguarding or welfare of the child as stated within performance indicators.

The person we are looking for must have;

A relevant Level 3 professional qualification related to working with children, young people and families, and evidence of on-going CPD.

Minimum of 2 years recent experience of working directly with children, young people and parents.

An understanding of Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

IT literacy.
