Prestigious opportunity with a pioneering market-leading energy company for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong Azure skills. Following a period of significant growth and success, we are seeking to expand our team in the North West and are able to provide a hybrid working environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing both BAU and project-based support
- Working alongside the project team to design and implement IT services within Azure
- Work closely with other team member to drive system improvements
- Business as usual support across the IT landscape, which consists of 113 sites across the UK and Ireland.
- Designing and implementing solutions in Azure
- Working alongside Azure infrastructure engineers to maintain Azure technologies
- Maximising system performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting using SolarWinds
- Investigating and resolving incidents across all IT services, computers and networking
- Maintaining IT services by patch releases, often out of hours
- Providing a monthly status update to key stakeholders
- Assisting with office moves and acquisitions
- Knowledge sharing and mentoring other team members
Key skills and experience:
- Proven track record in a 3rd Line IT support environment.
- Understanding of TCP/IP-based network and routing protocols (eg OSPF, BGP etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Azure technologies
- Keen interest in developing skills in Azure-based IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services
- Knowledge of Solarwinds beneficial
- The ability to work alone and unsupervised and prioritise work according to business needs.
- Analytical skills & problem-solving.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to help and train others.
