p>These are the expected responsibilities of this role:

Design and implement large scale data processing systems using computing frameworks like Impala, Hive and Spark

Architect cloud based solutions (AWS) capable of handling large volumes of data

Size and Scope projects, accurately estimating required resources and timeline of completion

Collaborate with enterprise architects contributing to broader strategy and governance

Lead the remediation of technical debt and implement continual service improvements using new technologies

Provide technical input into product issues and be actively involved in getting hands on when it comes to writing and deploying code

Effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders

Skills/Experience

Proven experience in big data technologies and cloud platforms, with demonstratable experience on large scale projects

Deep expertise in Python, Pyspark, Scala, Impala & Hive

Wide understanding of ETL tooling including Talend, AWS Glue & Appflow

Knowledge of Business Intelligence tooling including Tableau & PowerBI

Understanding of user management concepts, like authorisation & authentication, SAML, Azure AD and IAM
