Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and support automated machinery for the assembly of aircraft wing structures and sub-assemblies.
- Develop new automated assembly processes, including drilling, fastening, routering, and milling.
- Define and specify new machinery requirements.
- Manage projects related to automation and robotics.
- Provide technical support and advice on existing machinery and cutter/drill/router use.
Skills Required:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in automation and/or robotics.
- Knowledge of production processes used in Broughton and REACH legislation.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficient in digital and data analysis.
- Experience with statistical or data analysis software tools (e.g., Minitab, Skywise).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including Practical Problem Solving (PPS).
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with collaborative robots (cobots) preferred.
