Assistant Project Manager - Equipment Care and Preservation
Bridgwater with 1 day WFH and occasional travel to Avonmouth
Up to 375.00pd contract via approved umbrella

An opportunity has arisen for an APM focusing on Equipment Care and Preservation LTQRC for the Turbine Programme within the CI/BOP Directorate. Based at SDC you will be part of an expanding multidiscipline team responsible for the delivery of Turbine Group equipment which includes the maintenance of equipment that will be required to build Hinkley Point C Power Station. The role will primarily be focused on supporting the existing resources with maintaining equipment in NNB warehouse facilities. This may well extend to activities on site which has been handed over to installation contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate C&M records which are Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR's) are generated, submitted and handover to the installation contractor accordingly.
Principal Accountabilities
* Adhere to company policies, procedures and protocols for construction, health & safety and Quality.
* Integrate and build relationships with NNB Warehouse Service Provider, Equipment Suppliers, Installation contractors, construction delivery teams to ensure efficient equipment maintenance and timely issuing of LTQRs.
* Support Preservation and Maintenance activities as outlined by the EPC Contractor and are delivered to NNB HPC standards, Supplier requirements, Statutory and Regulatory requirements, and Industry best practices.
* Support the develop and implement preservation strategies in line with the EPC Contractor's Care & Preservation guidelines to protect equipment from damage, deterioration, and corrosion.
* Prepare Data Reports when required on Care & Preservation LTQRs
* Support and extract NNB Warehouse Service Provider with maintaining detailed records of equipment maintenance, and preservation activities. Generate reports summarising work performed, equipment status, and any observations.
* Assist production of LTQR Handover Packs
* Review LTQR's for accuracy and adequacy of content to allow the compilation of lifetime records to support End of Erection Status Reports.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience
Essential Skills
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and vendors.
* Ability to work with a high standard of accuracy.
* Competent user of MS office packages
Desirable Skills
* Experience working in a similar industry-including site work.
* Experience of working with large data, gathering and distributing.
* Previous experience in project / logistics work
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 2 years' post apprenticeship experience delivering maintenance within Electrical/Mechanical discipline.
* City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualified in a Mechanical discipline or similar discipline.
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Familiar with industry best practices for maintenance
* Logistics background / good understanding of logistics
